Taking for unreliable the abductees reports mentioning face-to-face contacts with alien spacecraft' crews, all that remains are countless apparitions, fleeting and difficult to prove, or even impossible to investigate. Scholars put forward several hypotheses trying to explain such a shyness by an alien civilization often taken for much more advanced than ours. Could they find us so primitive to the point of not deserving their interest? But whether that is true, why do they keep on visiting our planet Earth?
Other people think such appearances could be nothing more than natural phenomena, perhaps climatic, electromagnetic or even result from yet unknown forces. This opinion also gives rise to several unanswered questions, among which one about the odd fact, recently revealed by US planes and ship crew, that UAPs often take place during military exercises.
Countless other explanations may be tried for these queer phenomena, about which we only have been able to gather vague and imprecise data still belonging to the 'black box' of the world's inexhaustible mysteries.
In this little article, with no more compromise than that of a bold daydream, I dare to add an exotic hunch arisen in my imagination which I decided to write for its ability to suggest a reason to the bizarre escaping character of these alleged extra-terrestrial quasi-contacts.
Here it follows:
Driving such ships there wouldn't be extra-terrestrial beings who constantly avoid us since most ancient times and seemingly throughout all of human history.
Rather, they would come from a distant future when science might have achieved mankind's so much dreamed ability to build time machines. Here, it must be recalled that since Einstein many respected physicists try to show us that time travelling is not so nonsensical as it seems to our commonsense understanding.
However, such a kind of travels would entail a fatal danger which sci-fiction authors have explored many times: to go back in time would certainly bring a grave risk, i.e., to interfere in the roots of the future events themselves from which the traveller comes. This could lead to intertemporal annihilation, as it happens on screen, in the movie 'Back to the Future' whose protagonist while visiting his parents in the past, before they even got married, happens to inadvertently ruin their first date. This way the time traveller puts in risk his own birth. Oh yes, his adventurous travel almost annihilates himself, causing his own non-existence in this spacetime Universe. This not at all a minor problem and which is due to the so-called time travel, or grandfather, paradox.
Thus, we may infer that once such a time machine becomes accessible to human beings in the future, no matter how distant, travelers would be obliged never to contact concrete events, lest they could interfere with them generating unforeseeable consequences.
Back to the so elusive UFOs, whose existence is still impossible to prove, our guess is theirs might be a crew composed of Homo sapiens, just like us, who indeed avoid close encounters with us just for being time travelers coming from our own future who are absolutely prohibited to change whatsoever in their own past.
