Three Intruders at Our Lives: #Depression, #Anxiety, #Anguish.

Nobody wants their visit, but these sisters insist on taking turns to bother every human being:

1)DEPRESSION.

This mind state requires us to mull over the past, evoking unpleasant memories, associating them with our current failures, regarded by us for unavoidably destined to propagate forever. It shows us as targets of evil people or institutions, whether identifiable in the external world, or presumed in any after-world. Paradoxically, we would be at the same time, and concerning the same facts, victims of external instances, but also guilty of everything bad.Feeling powerless, worthless, bitter, the depressed person hardly sees reasons to keep on living.

2)ANXIETY

Anxious people fear certain types of things or situations, which may or not eventually present before them. In some cases, these are nothing more than fantasies about situations that are known to be impossible to happen. Thus, the object generating the anxious feeling is not part of the immediately perceived instant. Rather, it is emerging as a construal of our imagination which is projected on an instant still to come, that is, it belongs to a presumed future.

3)ANGUISH

On the other hand, when anguished, what bothers is an inability to deal with a exhausting stream of information which happens to reach our awareness coming from the immediate present time, in other words, emerging here-and-now. (hic et nunc).
What does such a messy stream mean? What to do with it? How must the most appropriate decisions to face it be chosen?
The weird feeling this terrifying 2020 #covid-19 pandemic surely evokes in most of mankind is an intense, overwhelming, irremediable anguish!
